The blend is predominantly Sangiovese with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot added depending on the vintage. It is then aged in small and large oak barrels for 18 months in the Antinori nel Chianti Classico winery in Bargino. An intense ruby red in color, this red wine opens with aromas of red fruit and notes of balsamic and spice. The palate is enveloping with soft tannins and velvety in texture. The finish and aftertaste are long and persistent.
